Standard tuning. Includes basic cleaning and minor adjustments. Does not include pitch correction, which may be required if your piano hasn't been tuned in a few years.
A Pitch Correction is performed prior to a Standard Tuning and is required when a piano hasn't been tuned in a long time and the pitch deviates from normal. Several pitch raises may be required over a few months to achieve tuning stability, depending on how far the pitch has dropped. When a piano requires a Pitch Correction, a Standard Tuning cannot be done until the Pitch Correction is complete.
Thorough cleaning of keys, key bed, action, dampers, soundboard, plate, strings, pins, hardware. Additional cleaning (mold, corrosion, animal damage) quoted separately.
If something is stuck, sluggish, loose, broken, not sounding right, we'll fix it.
Hammers may be deeply grooved, too hard or too soft, making your piano sound too bright or too dark. We'll bring the tonal quality back to life.
Restores the feel and consistency of the action by replacing worn parts and adjusting the mechanics to factory specifications.
If something breaks, squeaks, rattles, buzzes, doesn't work or feels funny, we will diagnose the issue. Price credited for repair work.
We'll evaluate a used piano you're thinking of buying. We'll also evaluate a piano you already own if you're considering selling it or thinking about restoration work. You'll receive a complete write-up of everything we find.
