For typical home environments, manufacturers recommend tuning your piano at least once a year. Institutions (schools, concert venues or churches), require more frequent tuning.
Factors that determine how often a tuning is required are frequency of use, moving the piano, and variations in temperature and humidity.
Also called a "pitch adjustment" or "pitch raise." If a piano hasn't been tuned in a long time or has been exposed to harsh environmental conditions, the strings can lose a lot of tension, resulting in the pitch of the entire piano dropping significantly. Raising the pitch requires extra time to allow the entire piano to adjust to the new tension.
We will measure your piano's pitch and show you where it needs to be before performing the work.

We will be as careful as possible when servicing your piano. However, damage can occur through no fault of our own. In such a case, we cannot be held liable. For example, if we're tuning an old piano with worn out strings and one breaks, that's not a problem of our making. In this instance, we will replace the string for a nominal fee.
